Berth Onboard SY Mica
A shared cabin with storage space for your gear. Simple, functional, and sufficient for offshore passages.
Safety Equipment
Life jacket, lifeline and tether, personal locator beacon access, flares, and all mandatory offshore safety gear. Equipment exceeds legal requirements.
Skipper Leadership
Nuno leads every passage. Navigation, routing decisions, safety oversight, and all watch leadership are his responsibility.
Shared Onboard Provisions
All meals at sea — hot meals and free meals — are included. Water, juices, soft drinks, and alcoholic beverages when berthed.
Fuel & Marina Fees
All fuel used during the passage and marina fees at destination ports are covered. No hidden costs related to the boat's operation.
Live Position Tracking
A live link reporting SY Mica's position throughout the trip. Useful for sharing with family and friends at home.
Training & Active Participation
Offshore passage planning, weather interpretation, navigation, man-overboard procedures, and watch leadership — all taught in real conditions.
Maritime Activity Insurance
Insurance required by law for tourist maritime activities is included in your passage fee.
Not Included
Your own responsibility
These items are explicitly not covered by your passage fee. Plan and budget for them before you apply.
None of these are unusual — they are the standard personal costs of any offshore voyage. We list them precisely so there is no confusion.
Flights & Transport
Travel to and from the departure and arrival ports is your responsibility. Do not book fixed return flights before skipper confirmation of arrival.
Personal Sailing Gear
Foul weather gear, sailing boots, thermals, and personal clothing. A full gear list is sent after reservation confirmation.
Personal Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend comprehensive personal travel insurance. This is not provided and is entirely your responsibility.
Meals Ashore
Any meals taken in port, restaurants, or on land before or after the passage are not included.
Toiletries & Linen
Towels, bed linen, and personal toiletries are not provided. Bring your own and keep it compact.
Personal Expenses
Any personal purchases, excursions, or expenses during or after the passage are your own.
